Adult Study Groups @ South Shore

Life is best lived in community. Small groups are an opportunity to gather and guide one another through all the intersections of faith and the real world.

At South Shore UMC we provide a small group experience for every age, and have as a goal that everyone connected to our congregation be growing in a small group experience.

  • For more information about small group offerings for children (birth through grade 5), click here.

  • Fore more information about small group offerings for youth (grades 6 through 12), click here

Some of our small groups are short-term while others are ongoing. In attentiveness to the Spirit we will further diversify our small group offerings. Descriptions of our present small groups are below. Connect and grow with us at South Shore!

In this six-week study, Rev. Adam Hamilton explores six of the most important themes in Jesus's teachings, why they matter, and how they speak to us today.

This small group opportunity will include video segments and group discussions. Participants are encouraged to purchase a personal copy of the book for this study.

UPCOMING FALL STUDY

Relatable Faith: The Life of Peter

a 6-wk study beginning September 15 @ 7:00pm via Zoom

(*no class on October 20*)

Peter was in Jesus’ inner circle, walked on water, and preached to thousands. He also gave into his fears and doubts on occasion and denied Jesus. Even so, he was the rock on which God would build the Church. We are a lot like Peter; join us as we learn how God calls and empowers us to be faithful, hopeful, persistent, forgiven, and restored, even when we fumble.

This class will have video components and enjoy group discussion. Weekly Bible Study guides will also be available for use. Be sure to bring your Bibles.

Let Pastor Sarah know to expect you by registering in the Welcome Center and/or request Zoom credentials here.
