SWEETEST GRATITUDE FOR OUR JULY REPLENISH RESTORE FOOD DRIVE 

Thank you for your generous donations to SSUMC’s June Food Drive this week. 

Our neighbors and fellow servants at Restore – a ministry of Riverview First UMC – are so grateful. They count on our support to continue their support of families in need across South Hillsborough County. This is one way we connect people at life’s crossroads with God’s love and grace. Well done, Church!

CHRISTMAS IN JULY

Temperatures are up, the afternoon thunderstorms are coming – there can’t be a better time to talk about Angel Tree!! For the fourth year, we would like to invite people to donate gift cards in $25increments to support the Angel Tree mission during the Advent season. 

 

Last year we helped over 40 children between three elementary schools. The cards we received in Summer 2024 WERE NEEDED in order to complete this important mission work. THANK YOU to all who participated in June, in December or both. Each child received in the neighborhood of $100 in clothes and gifts, plus a gift card to a grocery store in order for the family to have a Christmas dinner.

 

The cards can be from any major retailer or grocery store and should be dropped off either at the church office during office hours or in the Celebration Box in the Worship Center. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mark Crouse at bobcats110@yahoo.com.

 

JOIN SHORE FAMILY’S THE SECRET SEARCH TONIGHT

Join us at 5pm in the Worship Center for a lite supper and then our campus-wide sleuthing will commence. Be ready to crack the code, work together, and solve the Secret Search scavenger hunt! Thank you!

 Shore Family Sunset @ Ft. DeSoto State Park – Sunday, August 3 @ 4pm

 

A completed medical release form must be on file for all Shore Kids and Shore Youth for offsite activities.

PASTOR SARAH SERVING @ WARREN WILLIS CAMP THIS WEEK

Pastor Sarah will be working remotely this week at the Warren Willis Camp and serving as the High School Camp Worship Speaker. Please be in prayer for all the campers meeting new friends and deepening their faith this week.
