UPCOMING STATE OF THE CHURCH REPORT  

Following Worship on August 30, the SLT will host a State of the Church Report to update the congregation on church finances, cost-share relationships, and fall planning. We will also

give dedicated time to group discussion concerning future use of our church grounds, a conversation which we introduced earlier this summer and decided to continue once our church family returned for fall. Please plan to attend or connect with an SLT Member prior to August 30 to share your perspective.

SUNDAY SERVE WITH NEW VIEW 

New View will be preparing items for upcoming pop-up picnics in the Family Room immediately following worship today. Join Amber and the team in sorting clothing, preparing sack lunches, and pouring words

of hope and promise over the donations we have received to give. 

EXTERNALLY FOCUSED IN SERVICE AS AN ELEMENTARY CLASSROOM READER 

We have the opportunity to help ignite the love of reading for Kindergarten and First Grade Students at Corr Elementary by serving as a Classroom Guest Reader.  We read one Friday morning of every month, gathering in the Corr Elementary Media Center

at 8:15am to select a book to share and

begin reading at 8:30am.  

We are looking for folks ready to serve as monthly readers and as substitutes! 

Sign up to serve in the Welcome Center or by connecting with Rebecca Crotwell.  

All readers are required to complete and submit a HCSB Volunteer Application electronically for approval prior to serving as a Classroom Guest Reader.  

SHORE PRAYS 

South Shore UMC’s Prayer Team gathers Sunday Mornings at 9 am in Rm 103 to pray over requests received weekly. We welcome you to join this incredibly important ministry of the church.  For more information, please email  sarah@southshoreumc.com.

GRATITUDE FOR TEAM SPIRIT SUNDAY 

Thank you so much to everyone that served to make our Second Annual Team Spirit Sunday such a blast! From tables put up and taken down to recipes prepared, from dishes set out to cleaned up, from warm welcome to table fellowship, it was a fabulous day! Let’s do it again!
