This Week @ South Shore UMC

COMMUNION TABLE PARAMENT

White or gold cloths are used on the Communion Table as a sign of a special feast day in the church. White and gold are colors of purity and light. In approaching the Communion Table, we remember that Jesus is the light of the world. At the Communion Table we physically taste the goodness of his grace, represented in the bread and the cup. And we leave the Communion Table carrying his light into the world.

SOUTH SHORE UMC CHRISTMAS EVE OFFERING

On December 1 SSUMC’s Administrative Council affirmed giving the total of our 2020 Christmas Eve Offering to Metropolitan Ministries in support of their ongoing transformative work through spiritual and social services in Hillsborough County. We welcome receiving financial gifts towards this offering now through Christmas Eve. Please mark your envelope, memo line, and/or online offering ‘Christmas Eve.’ We pray that our Christmas Eve Offering will be an incredible blessing to Metropolitan Ministries as they continue their incredible service in 2021.

‘CAFÉ FAITH’ ADVENT STUDY CONTINUES THIS WEEK

Café Faith is a Wednesday lunchtime study and fellowship opportunity. We gather via ZOOM link. Join us as we enjoy our meal, enjoy our fellowship, and enjoy time spent in the Word with God. We will use Todd Outcalt’s book Let Us Go Now to Bethlehem for this study. Our guiding text for this week’s discussion is Luke 1:26-38.

Email Pastor Sarah – sarah@southshoreumc.com – to receive the Zoom Link information.
