PRAYER FOR OUR NATION

Adapted from The United Methodist Book of Worship 517

God of all the ages, in your sight nations rise and fall, and pass through times of peril. When our land is troubled, be near to judge and save. May the leaders, especially our newly elected officials, be led by your wisdom; may they search your will and see it clearly. If we have turned from your way, reverse our ways and help us to repent. Give us your light and your truth, let them guide us; through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of this world, and our Savior. Amen.

HEALING SERVICE THIS SUNDAY

SSUMC’s worship services on January 17 will take the form of a Healing Service.

Together we will offer praises and prayers to God as we anticipate and assemble for God’s work. Our services will include opportunity for healing prayer and anointing oil for persons that would like to and feel safe in receiving. Persons worshipping at home that would appreciate a pastoral visit to safely include healing prayer and anointing oil may schedule a visit by emailing Pastor Sarah via sarah@southshoreumc.com.

Please join our church family in prayer as we prepare for this special time of worship and for God’s new and continued Kingdom work through South Shore United Methodist Church.
