This Week @ South Shore UMC

LITURGICAL COLOR: GREEN

The paraments – the cloths on the cross and pulpit – are now green signifying we are in a period of “ordinary time” in the church year. Ordinary Time is a period between major church seasons; the Season of Christmas ended and we are in ordinary time until the Season of Lent begins. During Ordinary Time we study Scripture texts that encourage us to mature in our daily expressions of faith so that we become more holy and whole persons.

Are you interested in learning more about South Shore or meeting Pastor Sarah?

Join her safely for Coffee With The Pastor during the 10:00 hour on the second Sunday

Let Pastor Sarah know to expect you by emailing sarah@southshoreumc.com so she can best

coordinate the visit.

NO CAFÉ FAITH – WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 13 & JANUARY 20

Join us next on January 27 at Noon. We return to our leadership study using Weak Enough to Lead by Rev. Dr. James C. Howell. Our guiding text for January 27th’s discussion is II Kings 2.

HEALING SERVICE NEXT SUNDAY

SSUMC’s worship services on January 17 will take the form of a Healing Service.

Together we will offer praises and prayers to God as we anticipate and assemble for God’s work. Our services will include opportunity for healing prayer and anointing oil for persons that would like to and feel safe in receiving. Persons worshipping at home that would appreciate a pastoral visit to safely include healing prayer and anointing oil may schedule a visit by emailing Pastor Sarah via sarah@southshoreumc.com.

Please join our church family in prayer as we prepare for this special time of worship and for God’s new and continued Kingdom work through South Shore United Methodist Church.
