THIS SUNDAY IS WORLD COMMUNION SUNDAY

On this Sunday each year we celebrate our participation in the world-wide communion of Christ. We also remember our shared call and renew our commitment to reach out to all people and model diversity among God’s children.

COMMUNION TABLE PARAMENT

White or gold cloths are used on the Communion Table as a sign of a special feast day in the church. White and gold are colors of purity and light. In approaching the Communion Table, we remember that Jesus is the light of the world. At the Communion Table we physically taste the goodness of his grace, represented in the bread and the cup. And we leave the Communion Table carrying his light into the world.

REPLENISH RESTORE THIS SUNDAY

Please bring non-perishable food donations and place them in the shopping cart in the welcome center. Your donations support our partnership with Restore Food Pantry at Riverview First UMC and bring relief to hunger experienced by the most vulnerable in our community.

ADMINISTRATIVE COUNCIL MEETING – TUESDAY, OCTOBER 6 @ 7PM via ZOOM

Join us to hear Operational and Ministry Area Leadership Team reports and look forward to our next quarter of service and stewardship at South Shore. There will also be a brief time for questions and answers. This meeting is open to the whole church. Hope you will plan to attend.

SSUMC’S ANNUAL CHARGE CONFERENCE on SUNDAY, OCTOBER 18 @ 4:30PM via ZOOM

‘CAFÉ FAITH’ LEADERSHIP STUDY

Café Faith is a Wednesday lunchtime study and fellowship opportunity. We gather via ZOOM link. Join us as we enjoy our meal, enjoy our fellowship, and enjoy time spent in the Word with God.
