LITURGICAL COLOR: WHITE
The paraments – the cloths on the cross and pulpit – are now white signifying we are in the Season of Easter. Easter is a 50-day season that begins at the conclusion of the Easter Vigil and continues until the celebration of Pentecost. In the Early Church the Season of Easter was a time to continue the celebration of the resurrection as new believers (or converts) to the faith continued their individual faith formation, which will be united in communal faith formation through the birth of the church celebrated at Pentecost.
