ADMINISTRATIVE COUNCIL MEETING

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 3 @ 6:30PM ~ WORSHIP CENTER

Join us to hear Operational and Ministry Area Leadership Team reports and look forward to our next quarter of service and stewardship at South Shore. There will also be a brief time for questions and answers. This meeting is open to the whole church.

SANDWICH FELLOWSHIP

Sandwich Fellowship is the first Wednesday of each month. Join us for a time of devotion and fellowship. Bring one sandwich divided into four pieces to share.

This month’s gathering will include a Skin Cancer Presentation.

LITURGICAL COLOR: PURPLE

The paraments – the cloths on the cross and pulpit – are now purple signifying we are in the Season of Advent. The Season of Advent begins on the fourth Sunday before Christmas. This is a season of great anticipation as we prepare for the coming of Christ.

WEDNESDAY WORD ADVENT STUDY

During the Season of Advent, join Pastor Sarah at 11:30am via South Shore’s Facebook Live for a 30 minute devotional based the book Almost Christmas. Pastor Sarah will present the major themes from the chapters each week and leave you with questions to consider as you prepare for the coming of the Christ Child. Wednesday Word Livefeeds will also be viewable through South Shore’s Facebook Page after the gathering ends if you are not able to join the broadcast in real time.

SPREAD THE CHRISTMAS CHEER BY SUPPORTING SSUMC’S ANGEL TREE

Visit the Angel Tree in the Welcome Center and a host will greet, equip, and send you in fulfilling the Christmas wishes of a child in need in our neighborhood.

Please return fulfilled Angel Tree requests to the Family Room by Sunday, December 15.

Please ensure that all cards are signed out with an Angel Tree attendant.

UMW CHRISTMAS GOODIES SALE DEC. 15

As you enjoy the SSUMC choir's Christmas Cantata at both services, UMW will be selling home -baked/prepared Christmas cookies, and other holiday treats before and after each service. The hospitality table will provide samples. Cookies and candies may be purchased by the half dozen, while snacks, etc... Will be sold in quart-size bags. Each 1/2 doz. cookies, candies or snacks may be purchased for $4.00. Crafts for gift-giving will also be available. All proceeds go to the SSUMC kitchen refurbish project.

CHRISTMAS POINSETTIAS

Please see Cheri Jackson in the Welcome Center to order your Christmas Poinsettias.

Poinsettias will decorate the Worship Center until December 24th and may be taken home after Christmas Eve services.
