Welcome to South Shore!

Come to South Shore UMC for a real, relaxed, and relevant message and to meet new people in a casual and friendly environment.

In response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, South Shore UMC has made the following alterations and accommodations for our Sunday Morning Worship Services. It is important for us to share this information with our church family and the community as part of doing our part to protect and preserve individual and communal health during this time.

  • Effective through the end of March 2020, South Shore UMC will not gather for public worship. We will stream a one blended service each Sunday via FacebookLive, which can be viewed by visiting A Facebook account is not required to view our worship services via the provided link.

    • If you join us for worship via FacebookLive - either live or sometime during the week - please be sure to 'comment' you are viewing! If you do not have a Facebook account, please email 'you viewed' to

    • We value your presence in worship - in person or online - as part of your offering to God!

  • South Shore UMC Staff will make decisions in the coming days about additional schedule changes to meetings and gatherings on the Church Calendar; updates will be reflected here and on the calendar page.

  • Continue your support of what God is doing through South Shore UMC by:

    • Mailing your tithes and offerings.

    • Bringing your tithes and offerings to the Church Office.

    • Giving electronically by selecting Give and Serve in the header of this page and following the instructions provided.

We look forward and pray toward the day when we can return to worship as usual. Until then, we invite you to participate in the following spiritual practice opportunities:

  1. Reading Psalm 91 every morning at 8:30 a.m.

  2. Engaging the Daily #pictureLent Devotional posted to SSUMC's Facebook Page.

In this time of recommended social distancing, remember that social distancing is not equate to isolation. There are many way for us to be the Body of Christ together even when we cannot gather together.

Our God is good. Our God is with us. Our God never fails.

Sweet Blessings,

Pastor Sarah
