WELCOME REV. ZIG BAYS

Zig Bays is a second career pastor, entering pastoral ministry after a twenty-five year banking career in Naples and Fort Myers. Zig recently retired as a pastor from The Florida Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church and attended Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta. Zig has served churches in the Fort Myers area, Fort Lauderdale area, and most recently Tallahassee. Zig and his wife, Cindy, recently moved to Riverview and have one adult daughter, Jessica who lives in Denver, Colorado.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 6 @ 7PM via ZOOM

Join us to hear and connect with the diverse ministry groups that compose South Shore UMC!

We will use this time to share how our ministries are continuing and further taking shape

in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic and look forward to our next quarter

of service and stewardship at South Shore.

We will complete preparations in this meeting for our annual Charge Conference, which will convene Sunday, October 18 at 4:30pm via ZOOM. Church Conference Preparation includes voting on 2020 Lay Leadership, receiving a membership report, and approving pastoral compensation.

There will also be a brief time for questions and answers.

This meeting is open to the whole church; membership is required for items requiring a vote.

NEW ‘CAFÉ FAITH’ STUDY BEGINS WED. SEPTEMBER 23 @ 12PM

Café Faith is a lunchtime study and fellowship opportunity. We will gather via ZOOM link.

Join us as we enjoy our meal, enjoy our fellowship, and enjoy time spent in the Word with God.
