This Week @ SSUMC

NEW SMALL GROUP

“God is love. Crazy, relentless, all-powerful love. Have you ever wondered if we're missing it? We invite you to join Jesus After Dark, a small group of SSUMC, meeting Monday nights at 9pm. Yes, you read that right....9pm. Our next study, beginning Monday, January 20th is “Crazy Love” by Francis Chan. God is calling you to a passionate love relationship with Himself. Because the answer to religious complacency isn't working harder at a list of do's and don'ts—it's falling in love with God. For more information, including location, contact Mary Priolo at marypriolocpa@yahoo.com or 813.767.1849.

BLOOD PRESSURE SCREENING

SSUMC’s Health Ministry Team wishes you a Happy and Healthy New Year!

Blood pressures screening on January 19 in room 103, across from the reception room. Hours will be 8:00 AM before first service, between services and following the 11:00 AM service. Please bring a copy of current medications, if possible and short sleeved clothing is helpful.

CALLED TO LEAD?

Pastor Sarah is still seeking persons interested in serving on SSUMC's Operational Leadership Teams. Staff Parish oversee and partner with our staff in developing leaders in the congregation. Trustees oversee the health of our physical plant and discern new ways that we can use our facility for mission and ministry. Finance oversee our church's stewardship and celebrates our church's generosity. These teams meet a maximum of six times a year and work efficiently when they gather. Pastor Sarah will equip you with training and resources to make your service successful and satisfying. Pastor Sarah is seeking a man and a woman to join each of these teams. Please be in prayer for our church family, for God to stir persons' hearts for leadership and service to respond to this call. If you feel called to serve, please connect with Pastor Sarah at sarah@southshoreumc.com.
