Dear SSUMC friends,
I want to take this time to thank all of you for your support during our MLK events for Backpacks on a Mission.
As always, your support and devotion to our ministry is overwhelming.
We had great essay presentations at Corr Elementary, Summerfield Elementary and Summerfield Crossings Elementary. The judges had a difficult time in choosing the three finalists from each school. If you weren’t able to judge this year, no worries, there is always next year.
On Saturday, the 19th, we had a huge turnout in picking up our order from SAM’S and stocking the pantry. As soon as I get those pictures from Saturday, I’ll share with you. We are fully stocked for the remainder of the school year. Thanks to all of the volunteers that came out and helped us on Saturday. We were finished in record time!!
A special thanks to all of those who donated food during the SSUMC fo
od drive. These donations will be used to ensure filled menus throughout the school year. If you forgot or weren’t able to donate during the food drive, we always accept food donations.
