SHORE YOUTH LEADING FIFTH SUNDAY

SSYOUTH LUNCH FUNDRAISER TODAY
A 'clam-shell' BBQ plate featuring smoked pulled pork, baked beans, mac and cheese, coleslaw, and garlic bread will be available for purchase from 10am-12:30pm. Funds raised will help offset the cost of the SSYouth Ski Trip in January 2023.
Students, join us this evening from 5pm-8pm at The Priolos for a time of food, fellowship, and campfire! Bring a snack to share. Connect with Andrew or Aubrey for address and/or directions. Drop-off and pick-up is at the Priolo residence. Thank you!

ALL SAINTS RECOGNITION
The South Shore UMC Family will recognize persons that have entered the Church Triumphant in the last year through a special time of naming the saints, prayer, candle lighting, and song on November 6. If you have a member of your family that you would like recognized during this service, please email their name to firstname.lastname@example.org by November 2.
SO SPEAK AND SO ACT SCRIPTURE READING & PRAYER FOCI – WEEK OF OCTOBER 30
This week, we invite you to read I Timothy 6:6-19 and Luke 16:19-31 each day to center for prayer and then pray
October 30 – for my stewardship to be faithful to and honor God
October 31 – for God guiding my commitment to speak and act in ministry together on November 6!
ESTIMATE OF GIVING COMMITMENT
Members and Friends of SSUMC received 2023 Estimate of Giving Commitment Cards this week by mail. If you did not receive one, please connect with a Worship Support Team Member or check in at the Welcome Center to receive on this morning. We hope to have 100% commitment card participation from our church family this year. We will celebrate and consecrate completed commitment cards in worship on Sunday, November 6. Complete and return your commitment card in person in worship November 6 or email your completed commitment card to email@example.com.
MEN’S RETREAT hosted by
GRACE COMMUNITY UMC
Grace Community UMC in Fishhawk will host a Men’s Retreat on Saturday, November 12 and they have invited any interested men from South Shore to join them for the day of learning and fellowship.
When: Saturday, November 12, 10a-8p
Where: 10a-noon Fishhawk Sporting Clays
Noon - 8p Grace Community UMC
Price: $125 - Men’s retreat plus cost to shoot clays at FSC
$50 - Men’s retreat
Rev. Michael LeBlanc, from Shepherd’s Community UMC, will lead the men in a day of fun activities, worship and teaching sessions. Men may register for either the full day ($125) which includes shooting clays at FSC OR for the partial day ($50) which begins at noon. Those who are not participating in shooting clays may go to FSC to be together with those who are at no cost. Lunch and dinner are included.

PHOTO REQUEST: VETERAN’S DAY SLIDESHOW
South Shore will celebrate Veteran’s Day Sunday on November 13, 2022. We welcome veterans and their families to share photos with the Church Office to include in our Veteran’s Day Slideshow. Please send scanned photos to email@example.com or bring photos to be scanned during Weekday Office Hours now through November 9. If you submitted photos in previous years, you do not need to resubmit photos for the slide show. We look forward to honoring the service of all our veterans in worship November 13.
