Adult Study Groups @ South Shore

You do not have to be alone in this journey called life! Life is best lived in community.

At South Shore UMC, it is experienced together in community groups and ministries that appeal to all different age groups, genders, situational and spiritual stages of life, and interests!

Sunday Morning Discipleship Groups

These diverse groups gather to fellowship, study the Bible, pray for one another and serve together.  There are three active Sunday Morning Groups; they gather in Room 103, Room 106, and Room 115. Visit each of them and join the group that feels right for you. All are welcome!

Friday Morning Men’s Group

This group meets every Friday morning at 8:00 a.m. in Room 106. For those that desire, the group regularly goes to the Village Inn for breakfast after the meeting. Discussions in the Men’s Group are open, focused and relevant. Feel free to come and see for yourself!

Membership Pathway

For those interested in official membership in the church!

Attend Membership 101: Pastor's Coffee in the Family Room outside the Administrative Suite the Second Sunday of every month.  Here you will hear about the purpose and strategy of the church, meet Pastor Sarah in a conversational setting, and get to know other people who have a common interest with you.

Next steps are Membership 201 and 301, which give you an overview of United Methodist Theology and an understanding of your own giftedness to help guide how you can best connect into the body of the Church utilizing those gifts! Membership 201 and 301 Gatherings occur quarterly.

Ladies Bible Study Group -  This group of ladies meets on Wednesday mornings at 9:00 am to study together.

The sessions present many points of view, allowing women to decide for themselves when the interpretation varies among scholars.

The Ladies Bible Study Group will resume in September.
