Bible/Book Studies:
James: Mercy Triumphs– James, Jesus' own brother, started out as a skeptic. One glimpse of the resurrected Savior turned an unbeliever into a disciple. This Beth Moore study helps us learn about the journey of James, and how that translates into our lives today. Offered Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm and Thursday mornings at 10:15am, Room 114.
Body By God - 3 week motivational gifts assessment designed to help you identify the gifts that God has given you and how to use them most effectively in your discipleship. This is a class requirement for the “Pathway to Membership” and is offered four times a year.
Nooma Series– Jesus lived with an awaremness that God is doing something right here, right now, and anybody can be a part of it. He encouraged his listeners to search, to question, to wrestle with the implications of what he was saying and doing. He inspired, challenged provoked, comforted and invited eople to be open to God's work in this world. wherever he went, whatever he did, Jesus started discussions on what mattered mosts, because for Jesus, God is always inviting us to open our eyes and join in. Blueprint for Discipleship - This study affirms a foundational element of the Wesleyan tradition and offers a practical guide to United Methodism and helps to learn how to maintain a sense of balance within the Christian faith. Thursday Morning Men’s Group – This men’s devotional group meets every Thursday morning at 7:30 in Room 114 and then everybody goes out to breakfast afterwards.

Coming Soon: 24 Hours That Changed the World - Adam Hamilton - Churchwide Study for Lent
This book will guide us through Jesus' last 24 hours in great detail. this will be a church-wide Lenten sermon series with many small groups offered on many different days at at many different times. Everyone is encouraged to join a small group for this powerful study that will help us understand the sacrifice that Jesus made for us.

Prayer
Prayer Chain – This is a 24/7 phone and email ministry that prays for those requests that become known to them thru prayer request cards at worship, phone calls to the church office, emails, or by filling out the prayer request form
Intercessory Prayer Ministry –This group confidentially lifts up others and their needs to God. Intercessors come to the office to pray together once a week. There are several areas of prayer that are covered: the lost, the ill, those with different types of trials in their lives, our church, the staff, church leaders, missionaries, our country, the military, our community, and the ministries of our church. This ministry is open to anyone who feels led by God to intercede on behalf of others and to dedicate one hour a week to praying for the many needs and requests that are made known. Wednesday mornings, 8:30am at the Riverview campus.
Accountability Groups:
South Shore Salt and Light Reunion Groups – these groups are for those who have experienced the Walk to Emmaus spiritual retreat. Many groups are available to join that meet weekly, bi-weekly or monthly. Contact Diana Dyer at 245-9841 or Heather Comfort at 230-9494 for details.
Social Groups:
Dinners for Eight – Singles and couples meet for dinner in groups of eight; groups are changed quarterly. The host home provides the entrée for the evening and others bring side dishes to share. This is a great way to meet new people in an informal way!
Scrapbooking : This social group meets quarterly to share ideas and materials and fellowship!
