Small Groups & Studies

For men and women, held at the church office beginning Tuesday, June 10^th. It will meet every other Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 pm. 

Join Beth Moore in a faith-building study of prophecy, and learn how to shine for Christ in our modern culture. Just as the prophet Daniel faced unbelievable pressures— to compromise his faith, to live in a hostile culture, and confront temptations and threats—today's believers face many of the same trials. Schedule one 12-week study or two six-week studies with your small group or Sunday school and examine the life of Daniel in an extremely contemporary way. Then explore the fascinating prophecies from the time of Daniel through the second coming of Christ. Five daily studies and 1 video worksheet per week show you how individuals can live with integrity in today's self-absorbed society.

Sandwich Fellowship

Food, fellowship and fun are the order of the day here at the church office on the 1st Thursday of every month at 11:30.  Bring a sandwich cut in quarters to share! 

Meets monthly to prepare prepackaged meals for the family.  For information email teo@teoleonard.com.

Sunday School

Every Sunday morning at 9:15 at East Bay High School before worship.  Open to any and all.  Taught by Rev. Del McIntosh.

This is the most popular activity at South Shore United Methodist Church.

A rotating schedule of dinners, once per quarter, for eight persons.  It's like a covered dish dinner in small groups.  The night provides a great opportunity to get to know one another in an intimate setting. Email Cory Wright at cmurals@verizon.net for information or to sign up.

Basketball

Pick up games every Monday and Thursday nights and Saturday mornings at the Mirabay courts.  Come on out and show your stuff! 

Monday night league...begins in fall and continues through early Spring.  Contact Scott Howard 813-210-7746 for information. 

Come get some physical as well as spiritual exercise with fitness trainer Ed Park.  Price depends on attendance, but will be between $5 and $10 per session.  These classes are Thursday evenings from 7:00-8:30pm at the church office.  Participants should bring their own mat, and hand weights as possible.

Men’s Group

The guys meet every Thursday morning at 7:30am for devotion, study and fellowship. This is an open group, newcomers are welcome each gathering.  Come on to the church office next Thursday!
